This is Professor Bunsen Honeydew — officially licensed by the Jim Henson Company and produced by Sababa Toys in 2003. Fourteen inches of green scientific genius, dressed in his full laboratory ensemble: baby blue lab coat, olive green buttoned waistcoat, red tie, black trousers and his iconic round black glasses.
The Professor's achievements speak for themselves. He invented an invisible spray — it worked. He built a mind transfer machine — it also worked, largely. He created an indestructible candy bar, a robot rabbit, and a machine that could turn anything into gold. None of these experiments ended entirely as planned, but that has never once dampened his enthusiasm for science.
He arrives at his new home pre-loved and may show signs of being loved — which is entirely to be expected from a man who has given so much in the name of progress.
The larger Sababa plush figures were produced in limited numbers and are increasingly hard to track down in this condition. This is a genuine find.
